COMPUTE THE CEIL OF A NUMBER

The ceil of a real number x, denoted by ceil(x) or \lceil x \rceil, is the smallest integer not less than x. The term "ceiling" and the corresponding notation \lceil x \rceil were introduced by Kenneth E. Iverson in his 1962 book A Programming Language.
